The machinery rumbles, breaking through the rain and moving forward! Recently, the project of Guangxi Heqi Chemical Industry Co., Ltd. with an annual production capacity of 12,000 tons of fluorosilicate new materials and 12,000 tons of new materials for flooring, which is contracted by Guangxi Zuojiang Science and Industry Construction Co., LTD., officially kicked off construction in the China-Asean Youth Industrial Park in Fusui County, Chongzuo City, Guangxi. However, this land that holds the hope of development, with its unique terrain, complex geology and continuous heavy rainfall, has brought severe initial challenges to the project - the project site is naturally divided into ponds and dry land, belonging to the erosion and dissolution - peak forest valley landform, with weak karst development. The continuous torrential rain during the rainy season has made the construction environment even worse, and thus a battle with nature has begun.
I. Double Dilemma: Special Terrain and Geology Face a Major Test during the Rainy Season
The project site is shaped like a "divided battlefield" : half is water, and the other half is dry land, which has been soaked in continuous heavy rain and is muddy. The passage of vehicles and machinery is difficult, and the risk of equipment being trapped has sharply increased. Geological investigation reveals that the thickness of the site cover layer is uneven (0.9-6.1m), and it is a covered karst area, with adverse geological phenomena such as soil caves, karst caves and isolated rocks. These complex conditions pose a great challenge to the selection and handling of the foundation bearing stratum, and bad weather further doubles the construction difficulty.
Ii. Technological Breakthroughs: Breaking Through in Pile Foundation Construction under Complex Geological Conditions
Facing the complex geological conditions and the influence of the rainy season, the project team formulated a refined pile foundation construction plan based on local conditions:
1. Treatment of cave pile holes: For cave pile holes with no silt or a small amount of silt, they can be directly formed, inspected and cast in the cage.
2. Local collapse hole treatment: For the local collapse hole areas, replace and fill with low-grade C15 concrete. After the concrete has solidified, secondary drilling and secondary pouring will be carried out. If the bottom collapses again, repeat the process of filling and drilling until the hole is successfully formed.
3. Complex geological pile hole treatment (flow plastic - soft plastic slurry) : Long steel casing (Φ800mm) is used for construction. After precise positioning, a long-arm excavator equipped with a vibrating hammer is used to vibrate and sink the casing to the moderately weathered limestone surface. After confirming that the pile position is correct, rotary drilling is carried out in the casing to the designed elevation. After the hole inspection is qualified, the steel cage is lowered, concrete is poured to form the pile, and the casing is pulled out before the initial setting of the concrete.
4. Severe deep hole collapse treatment: Use long steel casings and pour C15 concrete at the deep collapse area to a stable position. After it solidifies, secondary drilling and pouring are carried out. If the bottom remains unstable, repeat the process of filling and drilling. Specific measures will be flexibly adjusted according to the on-site situation.
Iii. Perseverance Through Wind and Rain: The Fearless Responsibility of Frontline Workers
Under the dual pressure of time and nature, the figures of front-line workers are particularly touching. On the muddy construction site, they wore raincoats and heavy rain boots, moving building materials step by step, deep and shallow. Project monitoring personnel, in order to ensure the accuracy of foundation data, shuttle through the construction site's muddy water dozens of times every day, covered in mud all over but without complaint. "The foundation is the 'lifeline' of a factory building. No matter how hard or tiring it is, we must strictly control this checkpoint!" " It is precisely this simple persistence and dedication that have supported the project to advance steadily through wind and rain.
